Yesterday I was in Redwood City for Stanford's annual treeathlon (triathlon). I, along with my contact, Peter, were responsible for photographing every competitor in the competition (700+). Peter asked me to shoot all vertical...without a grip, I knew going in I would be in for a workout on par with the triathletes...just kidding :)
Despite my best efforts of wrist stretching, I ended up getting a little sore in my right wrist after taking a little over 2500 photos! I set a new record for myself! Yeah!
The surrounding marina and low 70s weather made it a perfect setting for the race, which started at 8AM. The bright sun allowed me flexibility in my aperture and shutter speed, though made me long for a 2.8 lens...perhaps a future purchase!
Oh I do love the action...
