A client Joyce approached about shooting her 2-year-old daughter's birthday party, and I was more than happy to take on the job.
The party took place at the Sunnyside Playgound and Recreation Center in the Miraloma Neighborhood in San Francisco. A great place for the little girl's birthday party! This place is such a great area for activities--it has a great playground, a basketball courts, and a lot of space for picnics and for kids to run around. The party consisted of about 15 children and 30 adults.
Looking forward to more shoots!
Hope you all are having a great summer.--I know I am.
I've been getting plenty of gigs this summer, and I couldn't be more excited.
Yesterday, I shot my client Melinda's daughter's birthday party. Her daughter turned 3 years old- finally past the terrible twos :P.
The party was held in Oakland, specifically the Rockridge Area. I know many people have their preconceived notions about Oakland not being "nice," but people are very wrong! I think if people visited this part of town where I shot this party, they would change their minds. It was located in a quaint, sunny, neighborhood. There were about 40 guests with adults and plenty of kids!
I think the pictures turned out great!
Looking forward to more birthday gigs.
I did another family shoot with a client Stacey Marcus Milo and her family. I shot each of the family members individually, and then I shot them all together. Their two-year-old son, Marcus, was such a cute little boy. I shot the Milo Family in their area, Berkeley.
I enjoy working with families--it's very easy and natural for me!
Yesterday, I shot a children's birthday party. It was my client Upender's son's 3rd Birthday Party. It was held at this Indian Cuisine restaurant called Suraj in Redwood City. Lots of fun and lots of yummy food! I love Indian food!
Yesterday, I shot a children's birthday party. Let me say, it was probably the coolest birthday party for a kid I'd ever seen. The party was Toy Story themed--Buzzlight Year and Woody made live appearances for the little kids. There was a live band, face painters, balloon artists, and more. The party was pretty much every kid's dream birthday party! It was a lot of fun to work at; I set up a photo booth for all the guests and kids. They all seemed to have a blast with it.
I did another family shoot with the Martin Family with Linda, her husband, and their child. We shot at the amazing Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco, California on Lyon Street in the Marine District. The Rotunda is amazing in person--truly monumental and magnificent. I thought this was a great location for a shoot. The pictures turned out awesome!
Today I did another family shoot in San Francisco, California. The husband, Robert, approached me with the idea of doing an outdoor family shoot with a nice view of the Golden Gate Bridge. No better place than Baker Beach for this! I shot the Carter family with their infant at Baker Beach, San Francisco. The family was from Mill Valley, so they had a lot of fun hanging out at Baker beach.
Hope you all had a great Holiday! I feel like I'm always shooting more family during this time period--It is the holidays after all.
A couple of weeks ago, I shot the Baugh Family. Brian approached me for some family photos in a natural setting. We ended up doing a fun, beautiful shoot at Stanford, California on the Stanford campus. The family was visiting for the East Coast, so I helped them find a great place to shoot. The shoot was simple and outdoorsy- which was exactly what he wanted. The lighting was beautiful that day! It's almost effortless to shoot at places like these.
About a week ago, I got to do another family shoot. This time, I shot the Jones' family-- a wonderful family of 4 consisting of Sarah, her husband, and their two little girls (one 2 years old and the other 5 years old). We shot at Baker Beach in San Francisco. This shoot was a lot more natural--less posed and more candid shots, which I love. Excited for more family shoots!
Yesterday, I shot Rosa's mother's 50th Birthday party at the Oyster Point Yacht club in South San Francisco. The Oyster Point Yacht club was a great location with a waterfront view--quite spectacular. It was a very big event--around 120 guests, and 20 that were children. I also set up onsite printing, so that the guests could walk away with some memoranda from the party. I always have a blast shooting birthday parties--they are always very lively and filled with great moments perfect for picture-taking.
